Temporary changes around the resort
To safely prepare for the upcoming development, a small number of facilities have been temporarily relocated or adapted.
Outdoor Movies
Our outdoor movies are temporarily moving to the camp kitchen on our big new TV screen while we prepare an exciting outdoor cinema space near the pickleball court.
Recreation Areas
A new grassed recreation space with a BBQ facility has been created beside the pickleball court and will be ready for family games and activities once the turf has fully established, which is anticipated to be prior to the September school holidays. This area will also be home to giant chess, basketball, badminton, volleyball and soccer.
Tennis
The tennis court will remain available during the current preparation stage before closing later in the project. Our new pickleball court remains open for guest use.
Playground
Our previous playground has now been removed to make way for the exciting redevelopment.
Minimising disruption
We understand that guests choose BIG4 Adventure Whitsunday Resort to relax and enjoy quality time together, and we’re committed to making your holiday as enjoyable as possible throughout the development while these exciting new facilities are being delivered.
Works will be carefully managed to reduce impacts wherever possible and we’ll communicate openly and honestly as project milestones are confirmed. Guests who may be more directly affected by particular stages of the project will receive additional communication where appropriate.
