Become a Superhero for Camp and Care

The annual Camp and Care charity weekend is back at BIG4 Adventure Whitsunday Resort on the weekend 6-8 November including a superhero theme and plenty of activities and fun social events for a great cause. BIG4 Adventure Whitsunday Resort is offering a special weekend package with $20 from each booking donated to the Camp Quality charity, raising funds for children living with cancer.

Pack your superhero costumes and a sense of adventure for a wonderful charity weekend with family and friends in Airlie Beach. Book a two night stay from Friday, November 6 to Sunday November 8, on a powered site for a total cost for the family of $50/site. Hit the ground running from Friday morning with a superhero theme to the activities and collapse in the evening with the Big Hero 6 outdoor movie. Saturday sees a packed What’s On Guide and non-stop all day action with games, crafts and competitions. Sunday includes a special late 3pm check-out for Camp and Care guests, guaranteeing you make the most of every minute of this November mini-break.

The resort will run a super competition over the weekend asking all guests, big and small, to describe, in 50 words or less, the hidden superhero in their family. The winning hidden family hero will receive two nights in a Luxury Villa, a one hour massage, a welcome fruit platter with sparkling wine and a family activity pack. Other prizes over the weekend include the best-dressed disco superhero and an Air Whitsunday trip to be raffled to raise further donations for Camp Quality. The BIG4 holiday parks Australia-wide are also encouraging people to take to social media and unmask the hidden heroes in their life using the hash-tag #myhiddenhero.

Other activities for families include the popular pancakes by the pool, a mini golf tournament and the outdoor superhero dress-up disco. The resort will also offer pony rides from 9am -12pm on Sunday morning, adding to the festive atmosphere. Owner Greg McKinnon says, “we are pleased to support this annual charity weekend and I know a lot of local families love to get together every year for this event. Everyone has a fantastic time and over 90 BIG4 parks across Australia come together to raise money for the Camp Quality kids. We’re hoping to break the record for funds raised this year.”

Set in 26 acres of botanic-like tropical gardens, BIG4 Adventure Whitsunday Resort has masses of facilities including a lagoon-style swimming pool, water slides, outdoor cinema, giant jumping pillow, pedal karts, full-size tennis court, mini-golf, adventure playground, basketball, volleyball, badminton, bocce and table tennis. As one of the most popular BIG4 resorts in Australia, accommodation gets sold out early so bookings are essential.
