Junior MasterChef twins host Kids in the Kitchen Workshops

Junior celebrity chefs, Isabella and Sofia Bliss, will host a week of “Kids in the Kitchen” cooking workshops as part of the exciting annual Activity Schedule for award winning Whitsunday accommodation BIG4 Adventure Whitsunday Resort. The twin sisters are remembered for their winning combination in the first episode of Junior MasterChef and for inspiring a national audience of juniors to pick up a spatula and start cooking

The Kids in the Kitchen workshops will be held in the June/July school holidays and will be free for all house guests. BIG4 Adventure Whitsunday Resort has the ideal location for this activity with an open-air camp kitchen located amidst beautiful landscaped tropical gardens. Classes will be held twice daily over five separate days throughout the holiday period with plenty of interaction from the enthusiastic audience and great tips from the popular junior cooking duo. BIG4 Adventure Whitsunday Resort will be supplying all the ingredients and cooking utensils so kids and parents can just turn up and enjoy the event.

Kids in the kitchen these June/July School Holidays!

It seems the interest in being in the kitchen has grown for young ones and BIG4 Adventure Whitsunday Resort has recognised that this popular workshop is something that needs to be repeated on an annual basis. Owner Naomi McKinnon says, “when we did the first workshops with Junior MasterChef contestant Sienna in 2011 they were so popular and we have realised that kids do have a passion and fascination for being creative in the kitchen.  We are thrilled to have Isabella and Sofia and their family come this year to experience our Whitsunday accommodation and warm hospitality.”

Isabella and Sofia have continued to teach and inspire kids in the kitchen since their winning appearance on Junior MasterChef in 2010 and released a cookbook of favourite family recipes called A little bit of this, a little bit of that. Isabella said, “we are so excited about exploring the Whitsundays and Great Barrier Reef and meeting all the kids each day. We are planning to whip up some great recipes and demonstrate how you can make cooking easy and enjoyable.”

With a perfect tropical climate and an average daily temperature of 24C, the June/July school holidays are an ideal time to make the most of Whitsunday accommodation. “Kids in the Kitchen” runs from 28 June until 4 July 2013 and places are limited, so bookings are essential.
