Camp and sCare

Camp and sCare

31st October 2026

Come join us for this fabulously fun family event at BIG4 Adventure Whitsunday Resort. Held on the weekend of Halloween, Saturday 31st October 2026, we’re hosting  a range of fun (and scary!) games and activities to keep the whole family entertained.

All proceeds from powered sites on the Friday night of the event will be donated directly to Proserpine Meals On Wheels, helping support the ongoing delivery of meals and care throughout the Whitsundays community. Our Camp and Scare weekend is jam packed with activities so if you stay two nights (on a powered camping site) we’ll give you a late checkout (for free) of 3pm on Sunday, so you can make the most of your stay at the frog park.

Proserpine Meals On Wheels has been serving our community since 6 May 1974 and is proudly celebrating 52 years of service this year. The service supports clients from as far south as Midge Point/Bloomsbury, through the rural areas of Proserpine, Proserpine township, Cannonvale/Jubilee Pocket, and out to Shute Harbour. Meals On Wheels provides nutritious, home-style meals to people of all ages, not just those who are sick, frail, or elderly. This includes support for new mothers returning home from hospital, and anyone who may need a little extra help at home. Clients can choose from a hot meal or a cold meat and salad option, along with home-style soups and desserts, all provided for a modest fee. A six-week rotating menu is offered, with no restrictions on how many days per week meals are delivered. The service is supported by a dedicated team of volunteers, and new volunteers are always welcome to help continue this valuable community service.
